Acoustic "Heartless" on American Idol

I am not an avid American Idol watcher by any means. However, when I heard that one of the three final contestants performed Kanye West's "Heartless" with nothing backing him but his acoustic guitar, I had to hear it. I was not disappointed either. Kris Allen's performance was surprisingly awesome! He added his own style to it and definitely turned his risky bet into a big payoff. I haven't been watching this season at all, but Kris certainly earned a vote from me. I wonder if Kanye liked it as much as I did ;-p

Thierry Mugler to Design Beyonce's Tour Costumes

Thierry Mugler has designed the costumes for Beyonce's "I Am..." world tour this year. Mugler's designs are known for being over-the-top and often very "Superhero Meets Sci-fi Villain", with plenty of shoulder padding, cinched waists, and dominatrix overtones (like the ones pictured at left).

Wikipedia reports that Mugler "has signed on to create a 58-piece wardrobe for Knowles, her dancers and band for the world tour. However, Knowles' own clothing lines House of Dereon and Dereon will also contribute to the wardrobe." Now you all knew Miss Tina (Beyonce's Mom) wasn't going to get pushed out of the design chair that easily! Wikipedia continues, "Mugler's input will extend to the role of 'creative advisor', as he will contribute to designing the entire show, from lighting to choreography, directing three of the portions of the production, 'Dangerously in Love', 'Ave Maria' and the show's finale." Lady GaGa is a Real Musician?

Until today, I really thought that Lady GaGa was just another Dance/Techno/Pop Star. I had no idea that she was actually a very talented musician. Not to mention the fact that she has been writing songs for other artists (including Britney Spears) for quite some time now.
