Maxwell is baaaaack! With his first album in 8 years! This July (7th??) he will release the album tentatively titled "Black Summer's Night" which is rumored to be a triple disk! Well it certainly seems that he has been hard at work.

Buzz So Big He "Could Probably Sell a Blank Disk"

I know you must have heard by now. The buzz for rapper Drake is so loud it's deafening...He's been underground for a few years since his stint on Degrassi High: Next Generation (lol at the pic), but it seems this just may be his time. After teaming up with Weezy and producing tons of mixtape material, he's finally getting some radio play with his hits "Best I Ever Had", "Filet Mignon (Every Girl)", and "Replacement Girl" (featuring Trey Songz). The Toronto rapper/singer's style is refreshing and new and just what the game seems to need right now...oh yeah, did I mention I was a fan? ;-p

Man That is one Sexy...Bathtub!

Don't get me wrong...I love Ciara. She is pretty, talented, and one hell of a dancer. However, when I saw her in this photo in the May '09 issue of Men's Fitness, I couldn't help but notice that she's posing in one beautiful bathtub! Clear side wall, fountain spout...probably a b!*@h to clean. It is fabulous though isn't it??...I need that at my house.

'Must Be Love': Cassie and Diddy

Cassie's new single "Must Be Love" featuring Diddy is catchy (even if the bells on the beat are reminiscent of the old hit "The Things You Do" by Gina Thompson *ahem* also Bad Boy)...but is it enough to revive her yet-to-be-released album? It's certainly enough to fuel rumors of her and Diddy's ongoing not-so-undercover relationship. Perhaps that's what's got her going crazy and shaving her head?...it's either that or her career stall...poor baby. Seems Diddy's screwing her in more ways than one.

Fabulous Fall Shoes from...Payless???

The economic downturn seems to have it's benefits. First, major design labels like Thakoon and Proenza Schouler create cheaper designer duds for Target. Now, we are getting fabulous "designer" shoes at (gasp!) Payless! Project Runway Star Christian Siriano has designed a line of shoes for Fall 2009 that will range in price from $25-$45. They are super-high-heeled platform booties and pumps with dominatrix details that are reminiscent of Fall 2008 shoes from YSL and Rodarte. They don't appear to be of the highest quality, but I doubt the target market for these shoes (read: Recessionistas!) will allow that to dampen their excitement for a trendy shoe they can afford.

And if Christian's style still doesn't tickle your fancy, Payless also offers designs from Abaete for the Fall 2009 season as well. Similarly, the collection is mostly platform booties with sculpted heels but Abaete also uses a lot of suede (synthetic suede-like material?) to give the shoes a more luxurious feel. Remember: Cheap is only "cheap" if it looks "cheap"!!

Lindsay Lohan just did a fake eHarmony ad for the website FunnyorDie.com. It's very candid and she basically goes over her whole sordid career as of late and her recently ended relationship (with Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson). It actually comes off somewhat sad, but she definitely gets cool points for being able to laugh at herself. Because after all, if you don't have a sense of humor about yourself, you'll never be able to laugh at the 'inside joke'!

Sex and the City Sequel Secrets!

Sex and the City Fans are looking eagerly towards the movie sequel which is scheduled to release May 2010. Here are some juicy leaked tidbits for us to ponder until then...

Always keeping with the times, the new Sex and the City movie will see Samantha Jones struggle for money. Not like you or I, of course, but the PR guru, played by Kim Cattrall, will struggle to curb her luxurious lifestyle and downsize her big-spending habits after some of her various investments are wiped out. She will have to make adjustments to live on a more modest budget, but will, of course, remain true to her fabulous taste. (According to http://www.theage.com/)

Apparently, Samantha won't be the only one to lose money. Mr. Big (Chris Noth) must move to London to take a job after his business in New York starts to undergo rough times. A source said: "The sequel will include key scenes of Carrie and Big in London, possibly shooting this winter for six weeks." I have read conflicting reports on Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) whereabouts, however, with one report stating that she will move to London with Big, and another reporting that he will be moving alone and living in a one bedroom apartment. What reports do agree on is that Big winds up straying with another woman during this tough time and that Carrie will discover soon thereafter that she is pregnant!

There may be a bump in working out this storyline though, as Chris Noth is the only character from the first film to have not yet signed on for the SATC sequel. (Yikes!) We certainly hope they can work it out.

Finally, The Insider reports that there is talk of Britney Spears signing on for the sequel as well to play a young relative of Carrie Bradshaw. Apparently, Sarah Jessica told friends: “My idea is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes.” I have my doubts about choosing Britney, but hey, it's all about buzz right? And speaking of buzz...why not add to that the possibility of Hip Hop Mogul and Sean John Designer Sean "P. Diddy" Combs being linked to the movie as well?? This is going to be very interesting...

Season 5 of 'The Hills' Premieres Tonight

Reminder: Tune in to MTV tonight at 10pm for the premiere of 'The Hills' Season 5, the final one (or so they say). If you miss it, you'll be doomed to not understand every one's conversation for at least the next 2 days or so.

As if Forever 21 wasn't already the best, most affordable wardrobe and accessories solution ever, now they have swimwear too. Perfect solution for buying that trendy bathing suit that won't be in style anymore by next year. Who cares if it only cost $20?? Or if you need something last minute and all of your favorites on Victoria's Secret's site are (gasp!) on back order. Just right for a budget beach babe! ;-p

Beyonce's "I Am..." World Tour Underway

Beyonce never does anything half-assed (no pun intended, lol). Her new "I Am..." tour is underway and she has hit the ground running, beginning in Vancouver, Canada. Below are some shots from her tour promotional video.

The next leg of her world tour will be in Europe, beginning April 26th. She will be there in various countries until the end of May. She is scheduled to perform at the 15th annual Essence Music Festival in New Orleans in the beginning of July and is expected to begin the American portion of her tour thereafter. I sure hope tickets are cheaper than her last tour.

Thierry Mugler to Design Beyonce's Tour Costumes

Thierry Mugler has designed the costumes for Beyonce's "I Am..." world tour this year. Mugler's designs are known for being over-the-top and often very "Superhero Meets Sci-fi Villain", with plenty of shoulder padding, cinched waists, and dominatrix overtones (like the ones pictured at left).

Wikipedia reports that Mugler "has signed on to create a 58-piece wardrobe for Knowles, her dancers and band for the world tour. However, Knowles' own clothing lines House of Dereon and Dereon will also contribute to the wardrobe." Now you all knew Miss Tina (Beyonce's Mom) wasn't going to get pushed out of the design chair that easily! Wikipedia continues, "Mugler's input will extend to the role of 'creative advisor', as he will contribute to designing the entire show, from lighting to choreography, directing three of the portions of the production, 'Dangerously in Love', 'Ave Maria' and the show's finale." Amber Rose - Fashionable by Association?

Amber Rose, the former stripper, turned video girl, turned Kanye West's love interest is on the papparazzi radar. Pictures are popping up everywhere and well, there's no denying that the girl is well-dressed. I wonder if she was as stylish before dating Mr. West? Either way, I wouldn't mind dipping into her closet!
